What is the real price of what is on offer?

You should know how much some usual products and services would cost you. Some approximate prices in Morocco

  • Coffee: 5.30 DH (€ 0.45)
  • Basic menu: 25 DH -60 DH (€ 2.17- € 5.20)
  • ● Bus ticket: 3.5 DH (€ 0.30)
  • ● Bread loaf: 1.30 DH (€ 0.11)
  • ● Double room in Hotel **: between 30 and 400 DH (between € 2.60 and € 35)
  • ● Beer: 25 DH (€ 2.17)
  • Entrance to a disco: between 80 and 150 DH (between € 7 and € 13)
  • ● T-shirt: 100 DH (€ 8.67)
  • ● 1 liter of gasoline: 9 DH (€ 0.80)

Please note that these Moroccan prices are subject to change when calculated in Euros due to currency exchange rate fluctuations.

Hotels

Prices vary between 30 and 400 DH (€ 2.60 – € 34.70) for economy and hostels, between 400 and 800 DH (€ 34.70 – € 70) for medium category, between 800 and 1800 DH (€ 70 – € 156) for high category and more than 1800 DH (€ 156) for luxurious ones.

(Based on double room in high season; includes taxes. Some sites also apply a Tourism Promotion Tax, introduced some time ago by the Government, ranging from 5 to 15 DH, per person per night).

Restaurants

Prices vary between 25 and 80 DH for the cheapest, 80 to 200 DH for medium category, 200 to 400 DH for first category and more than 400 DH for the luxurious ones.

Banks

Banks are usually open from Monday to Friday from 8:15 to 11:30 a.m. and from 2:15 to 4:00 p.m. During Ramadan, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. However, as a general rule, we recommend checking these hours upon arrival in Morocco, as they may vary.
